Namibia Sets a New Trade Course with First AfCFTA Shipment

This is a historic turning point for Africa! From the port of Walvis Bay, Namibia has effectively entered the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by shipping its first shipment of salt to Nigeria.
Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi describes it as a « strategic and symbolic » moment for the country’s economy, paving the way for new trade routes and deeper African integration.
The goal: to connect more than 1.3 billion Africans around a dynamic common market!
